about
the name, so'll, is a tribute to my family. it combines my mother's last name, "so” with the first letters of me and my sister, loreah and lyzelle.
origin
in 2021, i started so'll with my sister as an outlet for us to work together and express our creativity. we launched two drops, the first, upcycled clothes and jewelry. the second, handmade shirred puff sleeve tops. we eventually fell off the grid and stopped posting for a year and a half. in that break, i experimented with various crafts and honed my sewing skills.
the catalyst
i posted a reel on my instagram, february 2023, that highlighted a few clips of me making a puffer bag for myself. i had no intentions of relaunching so'll, the plan was to sew and post more consistently on my personal instagram, but my family kept nudging me to try again. i was very resistant and hesistant at first, but with many late-night talks, the itch to create, and a little belief, i signed up for my first market in july 2023.

i am running this small business as a passion project alongside my full-time job. i am continuing to learn, grow, and explore but most of all i am having fun. i am grateful for the support and kindness from everyone i meet, and i look forward to continuing this journey.
